The return to the big screen of one of the most cherished animated characters of all time was a welcome addition to the year's crop of family friendly movies. Watching the honey loving bear and his friends in a an all new adventure is always a special treat to be shared by children and those that still remember what it was like.
The gang is all here, from Winnie the Pooh himself and Christopher Robin to Eeyore and Piglet and every one of them is exactly as you remember them. This time around, Christopher Robin has gone away and, after a bit of a misunderstanding, the group of animal friends are off on a misguided but well intended rescue mission.
The magic of this movie is how perfectly the world of Winnie the Pooh is presented as everything is exactly as it ought to be and just as you might remember. This is the type of movie that small children will want to watch over and over again and their parents will be more than happy to accommodate them.
"Winnie the Pooh" is an enjoyable movie with plenty of wit and charm and does a great job at celebrating the simple things in life like food and friendship. The story is very straight forward and focuses on just having a really good time with old friends and, for those little enough, it is a great way to meet Pooh and the rest of the gang.
