Man, do we have a big announcement for you today and it will absolutely give you a reason to go watch The Avengers when it debuts on Friday, May 4th...because you weren't already going to see it, right?!
Apparently, the folks at NolanFilm.com have uncovered the fact that a brand new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will be shown in front of all screenings for The Avengers including 2D, 3D, IMAX, and 3D IMAX!

That's right everyone, we get to see new scenes and maybe a few plot points from one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year, right before we watch one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year!!
To those of you that may be wondering why DC Comics would team up with their rival Marvel Comics in any way, shape, or form, I would just throw out the fact that being able to put a preview of your product in front of your core audience (super hero movie and comic book fans) trumps any negative reason you might be able to come up with.
Yes, Batman is a bit of a loner, but we all know that The Avengers are great at putting together a team of dysfunctional personalities for the purpose of serving the greater good. And if that greater good brings in a boat load of cash to the movie studios while giving fans pretty much exactly what they are dying to see, then I say go for it!
