This might just be the biggest trailer debut leading in to this year's crop of summer blockbusters. It will be playing in front of The Avengers beginning on May 4th and will give audiences an even better look at what is to come in the final chapter of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
I like the fact that more is revealed here but nothing is given away as far as major plot details. This, and the previous trailers, do a great job of expressing the look and tone without telling the story of the movie. Thank you to Warner Brothers for not jumping the gun and giving too much information like way too many trailers tend to do. How many times have you walked out of a big action movie having already seen the big explosions or left a comedy realizing the best jokes were in the trailer?
The Dark Knight Rises will without a doubt be one of the biggest movies of the year, if not of all time, and nothing about this new trailer would make you question that prediction. Do you like the new trailer? What's your favorite part? Let me know what you think in the comments section!
