That Awkward Moment is a movie that includes Zach Efron, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Imogen Poots, and Mackenzie Davis. This is the directorial debut for Tom Gormican who also wrote the movie.
Jason (Efron), Daniel (Teller), and Mikey (Jordan) are the best of friends. After Mikey discovers that his wife is cheating on him and wants a divorce, the three decide to make a pact where they are all to stay single so they can continue to party like how they did the night before...or something. Of course, all three of them immediately discover a woman they want to have a relationship and then decide to keep this information from each other so as not to break the pact. Meanwhile the women in the movie often get mad at how stupid the guys are but then immediately come back to them when they do another stupid yet well intended thing.
Women, if you are not pissed off by how your gender is portrayed in this movie, I would be very surprised. Unless of course you agree that all women are either nothing but sex objects or are put on this planet simply to meet the emotional needs of men whenever they find it convenient. There are several women in this movie yet the only time I remember any of them talking to each other is when one is setting the other up to be seduced by her guy friend in a bar. Seriously, every character is so shallow and the story is so full of clichés and "what the hell" moments, it all becomes just laughable by the end.
If you still choose to see this movie, you will definitely get to experience That Awkward Moment when you realize what you just did with that hard earned money you used to buy the ticket.
Please. Just...don't.
