Sinister 2, directed by Ciarán Foy, continues the original story written by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. The movie stars James Ransone, Shannyn Sossamon, Robert Daniel Sloan, Dartanian,Sloan, Lea Coco, Lucas Jade Zumann, Nicholas King, and John Beasley.
The Story:
Bughuul: Devourer of Children is back and doing more evil stuff to kids and their families. The deputy (Ransone) who helped Ethan Hawke in the first movie was fired and has been hunting Bughuul in an effort to put an end to his evil ways. When he arrives at a house he intends to burn down, the deputy finds a family who, of course, is being haunted by Bughuul.
This movie was terrible. Everything about it was poorly done and I would say it is a prime example of lazy film making. There is absolutely nothing in this movie we haven't seen before and it really isn't all that scary. Kind of creepy and weird, but not scary.
The Verdict:
Sinister 2 is really bad. The confused look the guy has in the picture above represents what people look like while watching the film. I really hope they don't make any more of these movies.
