Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is a comedy film about two brothers who are forced into bringing a couple of "nice girls" to their sister's wedding to help keep them from getting into trouble. The movie features performances by Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Anna Kendrick, and Aubrey Plaza.
The Review:
Every year, there are one or two comedies that come out looking to get laughs by putting its cast of characters through a non stop train wreck of raunchy and vulgar situations. This is definitely one of those movies and, surprisingly, it succeeds at pretty much everything it sets out to do. Zac Efron and Adam Devine make a great comedy team and are both rivaled and equaled by Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza who really play well together as co-dependent best friends. This is one of those films where you wish you could have been on set to see what must have been some truly hilarious ad-libs and out takes, a few of which you get to see as the credits begin to roll.
The Verdict:
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is a fun, wild ride that will keep you laughing from start to finish. There's not really much else to say about this film other than, if you are into this type of comedy, you will definitely enjoy it. Hopefully as much as I did.
