The Review:
When you watch this movie, it will feel very familiar yet, at the same time, it's like nothing you've ever seen before. There are elements of Battle Royale, The Hunger Games, and The Human Race, a film festival genre hit from a few years ago, in the way that it takes a group of people and forces them into a literal survival of the fittest style contest. For genre fans, this story doesn't have much in the way of originality, but it gives you is a very interesting exploration of the humanity while under distress, is similar ways as another recent film festival favorite called Circle. The story is filled with a razor sharp wit and the characters have attitude for days.

The Verdict:
The Belko Experiment is very intense, kind of brutal, and a little bit gory so it is definitely not for the timid or squeamish, but if you don't mind buckets of blood splattering all over your action packed thrillers, then you will want to give this movie a try. Oh, and before I forget, the story was written by James Gunn who also wrote and directed a couple little movies you may have heard of called Guardians of the Galaxy.
