The Movie: The Hitman's Bodyguard
The Director: Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3)
The Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Salma Hayak, Elodie Yung
The Story: The world's top bodyguard gets a new client, a hit man who must testify at the International Court of Justice. They must put their differences aside and work together to make it to the trial on time.
The Review:
If you are expecting this movie to be an action spectacle that is low on plot and high on profanity then you have hit the jackpot. It is a fast paced ride filled with gunfire, explosions, and f-bombs galore. The story is pretty basic although you won't really care because the point of watching this movie is to see whether the two leads will have used more bullets or profanity by the time the credits role. I would imagine this could become a good drinking game once the movie is released on home video. One of the highlights of the movie is seeing Elodie Yung who recently burst onto the scene as Elektra in the Daredevil and Defenders Netflix shows.
The Verdict:
The Hitman's Bodyguard is a decently entertaining movie that accomplishes what it sets out to do just be prepared for more high volume profanity than anyone has seen since The Wolf of Wall Street.
