The Review:
The first Maze Runner movie, which came out in 2014, was quite entertaining and opened up a world that seemed to have a lot of potential as an emerging franchise. The second Maze Runner movie came out a year later and I honestly don't remember much about it at all. Now comes the final installment in the trilogy and, not having read the books, I was very interested to see how the story would come to its (hopefully) exciting conclusion.
One thing I have been impressed with since the first installment is how good the movies look and how they feel like blockbuster type genre films although it was funny (and fun) to see a Fast and Furious style action sequence to get things started. In between the action, there is a lot of story to tell and a lot of things to wrap up and, if you haven't seen the first two movies or read the books, you are likely to get lost and/or have lots of questions.
The Verdict:
Maze Runner: The Death Cure is a solid film and a nice conclusion to the trilogy. I would highly recommend seeing the other movies in the series before checking this one out.
