TwoOhSix Picks - 2018 Local Sightings Film Festival

The Local Sightings Film Festival, presented by Northwest Film Forum, is back for another year of locally sourced features, shorts, and special events. From September 21st through the 29th, attendees will be able to enjoy a multitude of movies, workshops, and special programs including exclusive screenings, fundraisers, and, of course, festival parties! And now, here is a list of the feature films I have chosen as the ones you do not want to miss because they are just that amazing.

Powerful documentary about prejudice and discrimination within the military during World War II and how a group of Japanese Americans became the 100th Infantry Battalion.

This looks like one of those dark, gritty movies that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

I'm picking this one for no other reason that looks absolutely amazing and is perfect to watch on the big screen. I'm not even sure what it is or what it's about so we'll just stick with experimental animation.

New twist on classic film making themes and story telling techniques. This could be one of those films that sneaks up on you as you unexpectedly fall in love with it.

This is not a movie, it's a fundraiser and a farewell party for outgoing Northwest Film Forum executive director Courtney Sheehan. With everything they have planned, this could be Seattle's party of the year!

Local Sightings is Seattle’s only festival dedicated to Pacific Northwest films and filmmakers. Join us to celebrate this milestone festival with premieres, parties, dancing, cocktails, and the best in local emerging film talent.
