GeekGirlCon is now in its eighth year of providing a home for diversity and inclusion not just for women and girls, but for anyone who wants to celebrate what it means to be part of this wonderful culture. The creators and curators of this celebratory convention take great care in making sure that every single person feels welcome with an extra emphasis on creating an experience that women of all ages will never forget.
GeekGirlCon will take place the weekend of October 27th and 28th at the Washington State Convention Center. This article highlights some of the events, vendors, and panels you won't want to miss.
The two day festival that is GeekGirlCon is filled with panels, presentations, vendors, shows, and celebrity guests like best selling author Margie Stohl, founder of Feminist Frequency Anita Sarkeesian, and Riverdale staff writer Britta Lundin. You will also get to explore row after row of vendors offering geek related products and services as well as artists from all around including one of my personal favorites Jayme Twins Art who will once again be featuring their amazing Dark Room series.
