A film festival entirely dedicated to horror movies is definitely right up my dark, deserted, scary looking alley so I was super excited for an opportunity to cover the 2018 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. Even while sticking to this one genre, the festival programmers managed to select a wide variety of films from all over the world which allowed for a very unique and diverse experience. Check out my reviews for the seven films I had the pleasure of watching and also discover which one was chosen as the TwoOhSix.com Festival Favorite!
Here are the films I watched and reviewed during the festival:
- Boo!
- Cam
- Empathy, Inc.
- Ghost Mask: Scar
- Holiday
- The Clovehitch Killer
- The Field Guide to Evil
- Welcome to Mercy
2018 Festival Favorite:
There are many reasons to like this movie, especially if you are a fan of the horror genre. The exploration of how beauty is viewed within both Japanese and Korean culture is very eye opening and adds layers of depth but the real payoff is the over the top, blood soaked finale that
will leave you stunned by the time it's over.
The 2018 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival was a super fun experience and I can't wait to see what they have in store for next year! Thank you for following along during this year's festival and please take a look at the other festivals and events that I cover over the course of the year.
