2018 Recap - The Film Festivals

2018 was my busiest year yet covering film festivals with an assortment of events that literally spanned the entire country from New York to Hawaii. Of course, the Seattle International Film Festival is my proverbial home base when it comes to festivals but I love being able to cover events from all over the place so I can better find those hidden gems and indie film makers from around the world. Some of my favorite movies each year come from film festivals and this year was no different.

This year, I was able to provide coverage for twelve different events and watched dozens of movies from around the world. To start off, here is a listing of each festival I covered this year, whether in person or remotely from my home, with links to my recap or preview of each one. I am hoping to add a few more in the coming year as well as attend some of the ones I have only been able to cover from afar.

The lists are alphabetical and can be considered nomination lists for my overall favorite festival movie and festival performance which will be revealed on another post. I have also included the festival that corresponds to the first time I saw each film so you can get an idea of where they all came from.
