The TwoOhSix is heading back to the 253 to give you the 411 on the 2019
Tacoma Film Festival. This eight day extravaganza runs from October 3rd through the 10th and includes so many feature films, short films, special events, and industry workshops, I'm amazed at how much there is to see and do. This hybrid documentary narrative feature enjoyed its world premiere at the 2019 SXSW film festival and is now being featured as the opening night selection right here in Tacoma, Washington. This is one event you do not want to miss.
Imagine a movie where the creators fill every scene and every moment with the most absurdly unexpected twists and turns leaving your brain in a constant state of "WTF". That's this movie and every bit of it works brilliantly. (

Zeke and Earl are about as stereotypically Alabama as it gets and their constant stream of bad decisions makes for a lot of fun comedic moments. (

Who doesn't wish they could find and be swept away by the person of their dreams? This movie shows us that finding that special someone might not lead to the classic happily ever after.
My favorite thing about the movie is the inclusion of classic 80's songs from groups like the Go Go's and New Order all with new arrangements and sung by a high school girl's choir. (

I's so important to see how nature acts in harmony and connects everything around the world along with how humanity tends to cause disruptions in those natural flows. First time director Sarah Christman takes viewers on a visually stunning journey through the activities taking place on a remote volcanic island of Hawaii.
Hearing from artists like Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, and so many others as they recall their times at The Gorge in such a loving and appreciative fashion, you can tell that performing there is just as special to them as it is for the people who attend their shows. (

Smarthouse Creative is the go to PR company for any film maker wanting to get their film on movie screens and in front of people. This workshop, presented by Smarthouse co-founders Ryan Davis and J. Brad Wilke is one you do not want to miss.
