The Review:
This is a very interesting documentary that uses science to prove The Lion King's circle of life theory. Okay, so that's not exactly what they film makers set out to do, but that's one of the things I personally got out of it. You know how Mufasa tells young Simba that the antelope eat the grass then the lion eats the antelope and all that, well that's kind of what plays out in this documentary just on a global scale of realization.
At the beginning, there are a few discoveries made on how ecosystems are so connected and so dependent on every species and organism coexisting and when you take one small piece of the puzzle away, there is a chain reaction that affects everything. As climate change threatens the well being of pretty much every inch of the planet, the scientists who are working diligently in the film show how fixing where puzzle pieces have been removed by human intervention can restore the natural order of things and actually begin to repair habitats and food chains.
The Serengeti Rules is a must see documentary that will change how we see nature, how we as humans have affected it, and what we can do to repair the damage we have done. Show this to everyone and let's get to work!
