The Review:
The Bad Boys of cinema return to action and pick up right where they left off nearly 17 years ago. Holy crap, that's a long time and, while a lot has changed in the world of movie making, I feel like this franchise fits right in with a swagger, attitude, and emphasis on action that has been copied and reinvented over and over ever since its debut. I never realized before how the Fast and Furious franchise takes so much inspiration from Bad Boys like the crazy car chases, the camaraderie, and loyalty to family and friends.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's a great formula and it was interesting to see this movie take back some of what Fast and Furious has built over the years. Bringing in fresh faces like Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig give the series a future it might not have otherwise had as Smith and Lawrence continue to advance in years. That being said, our favorite Miami detectives are still at the top of their game as they crack jokes and argue with each other while punching and shooting their way through pretty much everyone else.

Ultimately Bad Boys for Life is just a fun time at the movies with familiar characters and actors we have enjoyed watching for many years and hopefully we get to see them for many more to come.
