The Story: In rural 1977 Georgia, a misfit girl dreams of life in outer space. When a competition offers her a chance to be recorded on NASA's Golden Record, she recruits a makeshift troop of Birdie Scouts, forging friendships that last a lifetime.
The Review:
Troop Zero is a really sweet movie with a great cast and an inspirational story that is meant to pull at your emotions. Even with a cast filled with stars like Viola Davis, Jim Gaffigan, and Allison Janney, McKenna Grace proves yet again that she will be one of Hollywood's leading ladies for many years to come. She has so much personality, is such a good actor, and she knows exactly what to do with every scene she's in.
The best comparison I could think of for this movie is that it is a very kid friendly take on Revenge of the Nerds. Same basic idea just told in a completely different way. Okay, that's it. I'm keeping this review short and sweet, just like the movie. Check out Troop Zero online, it is an Amazon Prime exclusive.
