Disappearance at Clifton Hill - Movie Review

The Movie: The Disappearance at Clifton Hill

The Director: Albert Shin

The Cast: Tuppence Middleton, Hannah Gross, Marie-Josée Croze, Eric Johnson, David Cronenberg, Andy McQueen, Noah Reid, Dan Lett, Aaron Poole

The Story: Follows a troubled young woman returning to her hometown of Niagara Falls, where the memory of a long-ago kidnapping quickly ensnares her.

The Review:
This movie is billed as an intense psychological thriller and, I will say, the premise and setup of the story makes you believe that is what you are going to see. After that, the rest of the movie is just sort of there, gets real convoluted real fast and never recovers from a tailspin and free fall of plot twists that are hard to believe and even harder to follow. Nothing about this movie stuck with me, the twists don't really turn and the suspense seems to have been suspended so not able to really recommend this one. If it does make it to a theater in your town, take a pass, it will probably disappear pretty quickly and the only mystery will be whether or not it ever existed in the first place.
