The Story: A girl born into an all-female cult led by a man in their compound begins to question his teachings and her own reality.
The Review:
So, this movie is basically ninety minutes of watching a guy who mentally and physically abuses a group of women he has enrolled into a cult out in the woods. The pacing and tempo is very slow and methodical with no tension or energy at all. It never gets scary, or disgusting, or emotionally interactive in any way. I'm not sure if there was really much that could have been done with this material, the story really doesn't have much to say. Maybe there's something there and I just didn't get it, as they say.
