Capsule Review:
Minari is a beautifully written story about a Korean immigrant family's perspective on the American dream and features stellar performances from a cast that is highlighted by Steven Yeun and Han Ye-ri. The movie is primarily a family drama although writer and director Lee Isaac Chung adds in bits of comedy and social commentary to create a very well rounded and timeless story.
Minari is an official selection of the 2020 Hawaii International Film Festival.
