Director Mallorie Ortega joins the Changing Directions podcast series to talk
about her debut film, The Girl Who Left Home. Mallorie's debut feature film is filled with promise and entertaining performances. Job well done all the way around.
Mallorie Ortega has made quite the feature film debut with a movie that can best be described as a Filipino musical dramedy. Mallorie took some time from her busy festival schedule to chat about why she wanted to make a musical as her first feature film and she has a lot of great insight into what it takes to create an independent film. We also chat about her influences and inspirations as well as her experience with virtual film festivals. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. Thank you for listening!
