The Review:
When I started watching the movie, it was fun to find out that the story is set in Washington state even if it is a fictional island. At least I have never heard of it before, maybe it exists. Also not sure if the movie was actually filmed in Washington but either way, still kind of fun. One of the reasons I chose to watch this film was the impressive cast especially for an indie level film, I mean one that's not a big blockbuster type spectacle.
Well, that's pretty much where the fun ends. The story is decent enough although it's painfully predictable, the performances we see on screen aren't the best you will see by any means and a couple of the big names we see in the credits barely show up on screen for any significant amount of time. I feel like the initial plan for this movie was much bigger and much more grand but then maybe budget cuts forced a lot of it to be downgraded.
If you're looking for a movie that is something you can just kick back and unplug to then this one might work just fine. There's some decent action and it's not a terrible movie. Just be warned that having high expectations could put you in a dangerous situation and you may come away disappointed.
