While We're Young - Movie Review


While We're Young is an independent film written and directed by Noah Baumbach who has received acclaim for his collaborative work on Frances Ha with Greta Gerwig. The movie features a solid cast that includes Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts, Adam Driver, Amanda Seyfried, Charles Grodin, and Adam Horovitz.

A Million Ways to Die in the West - Miniview


In an effort to get more reviews posted in a timely manner, I have created the "MiniView" which is a less comprehensive yet still informative version of my normal movie reviews.

A Million Ways to Die in the West is a major motion picture with a really long title. Seth MacFarlane stars in the movie which he also wrote and directed. You also get to see Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman, Giovanni Ribisi, Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfried doing and saying really funny things.

Epic (SIFF 2013) - Movie Review



Now that the eco-trilogy of Ferngully, Avatar, and Epic is complete...oh wait...its not a trilogy? Oh. Well, never mind all that. Either way, Epic does fit in nicely as a kid friendly tale that contains a not so subtle message about protecting forests and having respect for nature. Twentieth Century Fox Animation continues its long time collaboration with director Chris Wedge (Ice Age, Robots) and assembles an all star cast including Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, and Christoph Waltz.

Les Misérables - Movie Review


Les Misérables, adapted from one of the most popular musicals ever created, is a movie that fans will adore as all of the appropriate notes are hit (pun intended) by Oscar winning director Tom Hooper and a cast filled with superstar talent. The original story comes from the Victor Hugo novel of the same name which was written in 1862 and is widely considered one of the greatest novels of its time.

In Time - Movie review



Looking for a slick, stylish, and futuristic movie along the lines of The Matrix or The Adjustment Bureau? In Time races against the clock to place itself next to these and other similar movies. Starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried and directed by Andrew Niccol, this film tries to make every second count, but is the end result worth your time, or does the clock run out on this thriller?
