2017 Recap - The Performances
In 2017, I watched more movies than I ever have in a single year which means there are tons of actors and actresses I could choose from to make this list. The most important things to me in my decision making process was how memorable and how affecting the performances were. You may not have heard of some of the people or the movies they are in because they are from film festivals or limited releases so I am hoping u have a chance to see them at some point.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Movie Review
So, there's this little movie that you may have heard of called The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It is set to arrive in theaters with modest expectations built off of director Peter Jackson's previous works, all of which involve adaptations of some author named Tolkien. Whatever your expectations are of this movie, I would honestly encourage you to check them at the theater door and just be prepared to let Mr. Jackson and company take you along on their little adventure.

The Adventures of Tintin - Movie Review
Expectation level for an animated adventure film co-directed and produced by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson should be about as high as one could imagine. Also add the fact that the movie stars such talented names as Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Jamie Bell, Carey Elwes, and the incomparable Andy Serkis and then finally throw in a brand new performance capture technology that blows away anything before it, and you have the makings of a true blockbuster.
