The Last Exorcism Part II - Movie Review
The Last Exorcism Part II picks up right where the first one left off although without the use of the found footage film-making technique that was utilized for the original. Director Ed Gass-Donnelly goes the more traditional route in an attempt to keep audiences jumping out of their seats and Ashley Bell returns as the demon-possessed young lady.

Bullet to the Head - Movie Review
The tag line in the poster for Bullet to the Head is "Revenge Never Gets Old", but it doesn't say anything about the actors themselves. Sylvester Stallone is definitely getting up there in age and, even with his musclebound physique firmly in place, you really get the idea that at least one dead horse took a beat down to get this movie made.

Django Unchained - Movie Review
Following the outrageous success of his revenge fantasy, Inglourious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino now gives us another tale of redemption starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio in Django Unchained. I will admit, I was a late comer to the Tarantino bandwagon compared to most other people that follow his work. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed Pulp Fiction the first time I saw it, but it wasn't until Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2 that I really became a fan of his unique way of creating movies that simultaneously honor cinema's rich history while pushing the boundaries of what is creatively possible.

Looper - Movie Review
Whenever a movie involves time travel, I am always a little skeptical about how the story is going to play out. I mean, whatever happens, they could always just go back in time again and fix it, right? In the case of "Looper", writer/director Rian Johnson has found a decent way to solve the problem (for the most part) by taking the ability to time travel away from the main characters and have it be something that is done to them. I know that doesn't make sense, but it will when you see it.
In more good news: this movie has Emily Blunt in it.

The Campaign (2012) - Movie Review
"The Campaign" brings together two of this generation's most popular comedians in Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis and puts them head to head against each other in a movie about politics, obscenity, greed, and just about anything else you can think of that can be used for laughs.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Movie Review
When you look at director Timur Bekmambetov's previous efforts like Nightwatch, Daywatch, and Wanted, you instantly think he would be a perfect fit to make a movie like "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". The examples I mentioned all have a visual style that is a ideal for a movie about how the 16th President of the United States wages a war against the undead while leading the nation towards freedom and equality.

Contraband - Movie Review
Mark Wahlberg's latest action vehicle has him playing Chris Farraday, a former smuggler who is drawn back in to the business to protect his brother in law from a crime lord that wants to be repaid for a deal gone bad. With his family in jeopardy and friendships on the line, Farraday takes off for Panama to retrieve millions of dollars worth of counterfeit bills in a score that will hopefully pay off for everyone involved.
