Unexpected (SIFF 2015) - Movie Review
Unexpected, an official selection of the 2015 Seattle International Film festival, was written and directed by Kris Swanberg with a co-writing credit going to Megan Mercier. The film stars Cobie Smulders, Anders Holm, Gail Bean, and Elizabeth McGovern.

The Drop - Movie Review
The Drop is a film adapted from a short story called "Animal Rescue" written by Dennis Lehane who is most well known for writing the original novels for Shutter Island and Mystic River. The movie stars Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, and James Gandolfini and was directed by Michaël R. Roskam who has also worked with Hardy in Bullhead.

Kick-Ass - Movie Review
Over the last decade or so, comic book characters have come to dominate the world of major motion pictures as advancements in technology have allowed film makers to tell these stories as they should be told. Up until now, big special effects paired with fun and sometimes clichéd storytelling have been fundamental ingredients of the superhero genre. With 'Kick-Ass' we have a movie that has completely turned the world of comic book movies upside down by pointing out everything that is flawed about the genre while at the same time creating a new breed of hero that advances the storytelling aspect by leaps and bounds.
