Star Trek Into Darkness - Movie Review

The gang is indeed back together again as Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, and Karl Urban all reprise their iconic roles in Star Trek Into Darkness. Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve join in on the fun this time around as the stakes are raised and the action is taken to new heights and director J.J. Abrams once again boldly goes where no one has gone before...at least when it comes to making blockbuster movies that will absolutely blow your mind.

Identity Thief - Movie Review

Director Seth Gordon is hoping to have as at least much success with his latest effort, Identity Thief, as he did with Horrible Bosses, his surprise hit from 2011. Reuniting with Jason Bateman and pairing him up with the outrageous antics of Melissa McCarthy is definitely a step in the right direction, but the key to any successful comedy is being able to combine all the gut busting moments with a story that keeps it from becoming a series of sketches that never add up to anything worthwhile.

Total Recall (2012) - Movie Review

Everyone is familiar with the original Total Recall which featured Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of his most iconic performances. Adapted from a short story by Phillip K. Dick, Paul Verhoeven was able to create a campy science fiction adventure that really grabbed audiences at the time. Now, Colin Farrell is put in the lead role and director Len Wiseman is tasked with bringing a whole new version of the story to the screen.

American Reunion - Movie Review

Everyone has movies they love watching over and over because they can be like visiting with old friends. On the other hand, watching the same movie can also be like that visiting with that one friend who always tells you the same stories again and again when what you really want is to hear something new.

Fortunately, the American Pie franchise has continued to churn out new movies featuring all the guys and girls you have watched over the years and American Reunion brings back just about everyone from the original for more crazy hi-jinks and hilariously embarrassing comedy.

A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas - Movie Review

I will admit, I have not watched either of the previous Harold and Kumar movies so this was a brand new experience for me. These characters seem to have a penchant for finding trouble under any circumstance and the holidays are no exception. Featuring a screwball cast and a never ending supply of gags, will this movie fill your stocking with three dimensional holiday cheer or will it leave you feeling like Santa Claus had just been hit in the face with a shotgun blast?
