Sparkle - Movie Review


"Sparkle" was directed by Salim Akil and stars Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Carmen Ejogo, and the one and only Whitney Houston who is also credited as executive producer. Set in 1960's Detroit during the heyday of the Motown sound, this is a movie about one girl's dream of becoming a singing star, the sisters that join her in pursuit of that dream, and the mother that will do everything she can to keep her girls from making the same mistakes she made during her time in the business.

The Bourne Legacy - Movie Review


The latest installment in the Bourne series picks up roughly where the last one left off, but takes the intensity, espionage, and depth of the story to a whole new level. Writer/director Tony Gilroy, who was also a writer on all three of the previous films, was in a perfect position to broaden the scope and background of the super secret government program that created super soldiers through biological enhancements.
