Fateful Findings (SIFF 2013) - Movie Review



Fateful Findings is the brainchild of Neil Breen who wrote, produced, directed, acted in, catered, and did just about anything else you can think of to get this movie made. Taking the term "low budget feature" to a new extreme, this movie goes deep into the mind of an author who believes he is about to shock the world with his most recent discovery.

V/H/S 2 (SIFF 2013) - Movie Review



VHS 2 is the follow up to the original film that became an instant cult classic and promises to be even scarier than its predecessor. The first VHS movie created a new twist on the found footage sub genre of horror movies by compiling several short films into one feature length movie with an overarching storyline that ties the whole thing together.

This is the End - Movie Review


Okay, seriously. Look at the poster for This is the End and tell me you don't think its going to be hilarious. For my part, all you have to do is say James Franco and Seth Rogen are in the movie and I'm down to see it. Then you throw in Hill, Baruchel, Robinson, and McBride and my expectation level goes even higher. Add in the fact that Rogen wrote and directed the film with longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg and you now have a formula for success that will not be denied.

The East (SIFF 2013) - Movie Review



Rising Hollywood star Brit Marling not only plays the lead role in The East, but she also co-wrote and helped produce the movie that has so far received nothing but high praise. Director Zal Batmanglij, who also worked with Marling in the 2011 thriller Sound of My Voice, has put together a feature film that feels just as provocative and edgy as the fictional organization it portrays.
