2015 Recap - Horror

This year, I had the good fortune of watching a whole bunch of different horror movies, a lot of them during the various film festivals I covered. There's a lot of good, a lot of decent, and a fair amount that were not quite as good, but definitely a great mix of styles and sub genres which made for a really fun year.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension - Movie Review

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, directed by Gregory Plotkin, continues the story originally created by Oren Peli. The movie stars Chris J Murray, Brit Shaw, Ivy George, Dan Gill, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Chloe Csengery, Don Mcmanus, and Michael Krawic.

2015 Recap - Animation

Even with two releases from Pixar studios, this was not a banner year for animated films as there really just wasn't that much out there. Maybe next year will be better but, in the meantime, here is what I saw and which was my favorite for 2015.

In the Heart of the Sea - Movie Review

In the Heart of the Sea is based off of the true story that inspired Herman Melville to write Moby Dick, one of American literature's greatest achievements. The film was directed by Ron Howard (Rush, Apollo 13) and stars Chris Hemsworth, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Tom Holland, Ben Whishaw, and Charlotte Riley.
