TwoOhSix Recap - 2018 North Bend Film Festival
The fine folks who put on this brand spanking new film festival did a bang up job and left me fully entertained during the time I was able to attend. With a Lynchian lineup of off the wall offerings including feature films, short film blocks, a virtual reality experience, and a literal reality experience (hiking excursion) there was no shortage of unique ways to be entertained. During the four day event, I had the fine fortune of taking in several of the feature films and have compiled them in this very post for your perusing pleasure..

The Director: Sandy Tan
The Story: In 1992, teenager Sandi Tan and her friends shot Singapore’s first road movie with their enigmatic American mentor, Georges--who then absconded with all the footage. The 16mm film is recovered 20 years later, sending Tan, now a novelist in Los Angeles, on a personal odyssey in search of Georges' vanishing footprints--and her own.
